Today we met some friends in Svedala. Johanna who owns Leon and Kia started to show how she trains her Akitas in agility, using modern methods making the dog figure out what to do, instead of showing it to the dog. We also got info about the "to do" and "not to do". American Akita with humans came, American Akita Eia and German Shepard Oliver came with their human and Manuel and Kumi came with me and Mikael. We took a mini-walk as a warm-up for us and the dogs, and then Johanna and Leon showed us what to do.
I really expected it would go well with Kumi, she has that speed and energy and wants to make her human happy. I would say that agility could be "her sport". Oliver was very eager and the jar with the treats in was very interesting. Ella was really good, and so was Nimbus.
Manuel was also eager to try, even though he chose the most convenient solution the first time
