So early in the morning the 22nd of August me and Manuel took a walk through Malmö city. Our goal was the central railway station. Manuel and I found a seat for me and some ok space for him. Then we spent some hours on the train - ended up at the Gothenburg central railway-station were Lina picked us up by car. I bought a cup of coffee and some aspirins (head-ache). Lina had brought a harness for Manuel so he could sit/lie in the back-seat secured to the seat-belt, but he and the seat-belt wasn't the best of friends. At one time he was lying on the floor behind the driving-seat. This was not our intention, this was not safe... So, even though we had had the best intentions, the best option was to put him in the cage, even though it was a bit less space than he is used to. The only thing he couldn't do that he is used to was lying flat on his side, resting his neck. So sometimes he sat, leaning his head against the side of the wall... The get-together was at a Camping which was situated by a lake. It was lovely and we arrived there Saturday afternoon. The weather was lovely. It is always nice meeting Helen & Micke, Tanja & Sven, and this time I got to meet Kim, and also Kitti and Björn. We took a short walk togehter (Umi is only 4 months) and then started to prepare for food.
Such a gourmet dinner! We had lamb, King bolete, chantarelles and morels. We had olives and differents nuts as snacks. Sven brought loads of fresh vegetables...Kim had brought his coffee machine... and there were loads and loads of food. The dogs were very happy since they also got lamb. Then, we had some nice wine as well. First we sat outside, and when it became a bit chilly we moved inside. Kitti and Björn had to leave after the dinner since they had a dog-show to attend to the morning after. We talket Akita, Akita and Akita but luckily not only Akita... Some of us (them ) stayed up until 3 in the morning, when I (Manuel) could here them enter "our" house.

The 23rd of August some of us started up with a excursion for mushrooms which was arranged by the camping. Manuel and Ise joined us and I got a lot of my assumptions confirmed, which enables me to pick even more mushroom this year!
Then we had a lovely brunch, started to wrap up and then by 14.00 me Lina and Manuel headed back home. For me and Manuel it was 700 km one way (extended since we took a detour via Gothenburg) and I must say...it was really worth that journey. We had a blast, and enjoyed every moment. We ended up in a traffic jam in Gothenburg but I managed to catch the train....Manuel was tired and fell a sleep even though there were many dogs close to him. Then we walked from the train-station through an almost empty Malmö, got a nice welcoming by both Mikael and Kumi...and then we fell heavily a sleep. /Charlotte
